"Overcoming Stigma and Shame in Depression"

With Dr. Mary Lynne Black, PSY.D.,  Penn Foundation


Dr. Black graduated from Rosemead School of Psychology in La Mirada, California in 1993.  (This is a part of Biola University). She started out working in the public schools as a school counselor.  then accepted a job with the San Bernardino County working with complex child and adolescent therapy issues and illnesses.  From there Dr. Black  moved to Delaware where she worked for Intake and Assessment with Child Mental Health working with adjudicated youth and the court system.  Currently Dr. Black is employed by Penn Foundation as a clinical supervisor for the Dayspring Counseling Services – a unit of Penn Foundation which incorporates a person’s Christian spirituality into their counseling experience. They work with all ages, from 2- 92 years of age.  There are 7 therapists and one intern currently associated with Dayspring Counseling Services.
