St. Peter’s Readers

Next Meeting is March 3rd at 11:30 in the church parlor.

Our book is:

The Paris Apartment, by Lucy Foley

Told in rotating points of view, this Tilt-A-Whirl of a novel brims with jangly tension - an undeniably engrossing guessing game. A clever, cliff-hanger-filled thriller.

Sudden Death, Stories of a Marine Corps Radioman in the Vietnam War, by George Uhl

Our fellow St. Peter’s member, George Uhl, tells of his experience in Vietnam via a series of letters home to his parents. From an Amazon review - “Coming of Age in the 60’s, signing up, and a tour of duty in the Vietnam War are recounted in solid memoir-format decades later by the man who lived it. George Uhl’s writing style draws the reader in as he shared his military and combat experiences that struck both his senses and emotions, profoundly.”

Wild Dark Shore, by Charlotte McConaghy

A family on a remote island. A mysterious woman washed ashore. A rising storm on the horizon. A novel of breathtaking twists, dizzying beauty, and ferocious love, Wild Dark Shore is about the impossible choices we make to protect the people we love, even as the world around us disappears.

Peter's Readers is a book discussion group made up of women who meet on Tuesdays over a bag lunch to discuss a work of contemporary literature. Selections may be fiction or non-fiction, secular or religious. The group started meeting in 2008 and has about 15 regular attendees.  We meet about once every six weeks on Tuesdays at 11:30 in the Church Parlor.  If you are interested, please contact Charlene Bance.
