This isn’t your typical summer camp. Parks and (Re)Creation is a half-day adventure designed for rising 1st–6th graders who love to explore, create, and discover.
Each morning, campers will visit local North Wales parks like Weingartner, Hess, and Fourth Street Park for hands-on outdoor activities, scavenger hunts, yoga, and nature-based fun. Then we’ll return to St. Peter’s for creative arts and crafts, Green Team activities, music, storytelling, and a peaceful nature meditation in the sanctuary.
Every day features a new theme—light and dark, earth and ocean, sun and stars, animals and plants, and even a special day focused on rest and gratitude. Campers will learn to see God’s creativity in the world around them while making friends, getting active, and building confidence.
Parents can expect:
• A structured, safe, and nurturing environment
• Outdoor movement balanced with calm reflection
• Faith-based lessons woven naturally into the day
• Creative projects your child will be proud of
• A meaningful closing each day, including a “Blessing of the Plant of the Day”
By the end of the week, your child won’t just have had fun—they’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for nature, community, and faith.
