We provide Christian Education and Faith Formation for children from age 3 (Pre-K) through 6th grade. Our program takes place on Sunday mornings during the 10:00 am service from September through May.
The SPARK Program provides eight workshop rotation options for each Bible story, covering both the Old and New Testaments. In this Augsburg Fortress model, kids spend several weeks on a Bible story and visit a different workshop each week in order to experience that same story from different perspectives.
For kids in Kindergarten to Grade 6, each SPARK workshop rotation is focused on a rich Bible story or group of Bible stories about particular characters. Workshop rotations include Art, Bible Skills and Games, Computer Lab, Cooking, Creative Drama, Music, Science, and Video. Preschoolers experience an in-room rotation with Storytelling, Art, Snack, Music and Game stations.
Each 3-4 week Spark segment is then incorporated in a Family Service that takes place on the first Sunday of the month. The children in Pre-K 6th grade join their parents for the 10:00 am family service, and there are no SPARK workshops that Sunday. A nursery is still available for young children.
